The WorkPlace Group provides individualized support and group workshops to assist individuals in conducting successful job searches. For clients that are unlikely to succeed through an independent job search, we provide additional supports through our job development team.

Our job development team may find or develop employment or workplace training opportunities; assist in job negotiations; develop job descriptions with employers to remove disability-related barriers; or assist in the provision of employee modifications.

Additional services:

  • Exploring, identifying and clarifying interests, abilities, skills, and education in relation to short and long-term career goals
  • Exploring occupational and training requirements related to employment goal
  • Orientation to the workplace- understanding employer expectations, workplace culture
  • Coaching in life skills that support successful employment
  • Support for disclosure of disabilities that may affect workplace participation
  • Job search tools such as resumes, interviews, job search strategies
  • Assessing qualifications against job requirements
